I'm now in Term 2 of my Games Design MA. The Design challenge this term is to make one game a week (though they need only be small prototypes), focusing on a different aspect of game design each time. Eat Fighter is the first. We were tasked to consider the core of what makes a game fun - what the player actually does. It was suggested that we design a game that is small in scale but still enjoyable to play.
If Eat Fighter was to be developed into a proper game, we imagined that it would be framed as a one-on-one eat-'em-up with in-match competitive actions and upgrades to be bought with your earnings. I kind of like the idea so may develop it later on.
